Man this games is bad ass. Check your brain at the door and get ready to blow shit up, terrorize civilians, and face betrayal, deceit and lies all over the planet in this Micheal Bay stylized action game. Remember it is bad ass.

But once your done playing Modern Warfare 2, and realize its more of the same old, which it really is. Play Dragon Age: Origins! This game is as deep as the seven gates of hell and is reportedly 60 hours long, and is really challenging. Hell I still haven’t gotten past the first camp, thats how deeply detailed the first town is! This game will you keep you playing for a long time. Too bad it doesn’t have any multiplayer. Well heres hoping to a mod for the PC version at least to get some online action going on for it. Oh wait too bad the hack/developer committee is too busy on working on a dedicated server hack for Modern Warfare 2, which is in its Beta stages already…oh well.

Since a lot of people are waiting for Forza Motorsport 3 to come out, a comparison between Sony’s Gran Turismo 5: Prologue was deemed to happen.  Check out the video that was done by Goldfingiz on youtube

The Informant  is based very loosely on Mark Whitacre(played by Matt Damon), who thinks he can bring the leaders of a corrupt company(ADM) he works for down by working with the FBI, and because of this become head of the company.  It is a rather comedic drama for a fairly serious subject, but it is this that makes this movie from being rather boring. The best video game movie that doesn’t exist? , how about this movie will give you a headache. GAMER is basically a rip off of movies mixed together from Death Race, Battle Royale and Crank. The story goes like this, in a not so long distant future we decided to be played or pay to play real people in two different games, one is society (AKA PlayStation HOME) and Slayer (Aka Counterstrike CTF type game) where a real person is the avatar.

If you go into Extract thinking that it is going to have some stupid funny comedy like The Goods and The Hangover, then you will be sadly mistaken.  For the majority of the movie the comedy is more serious and realistic, but I think that is what makes the movie better than your typical nonsense comedy. As you are probably well aware now, the first two God of War games are being re-released on the PlayStation 3. The collection will feature God of War 1 & 2 running at 720p, with anti-aliasing, running at a constant 60 frames per second and trophy support. This package will retail for $40USD and is expected to be in store sometime before the holiday season.

Needles to say the online community has loved the news and the very idea of this product.

This news has sparked waves of speculation on whether or not more “Collection”  games will come out, especially with regards to the Metal Gear Solid, Silent Hill and Ratchet and Clank series.  Konami had this to say about their back catalogue…

“We are constantly exploring unique ways to expose players to some of our legacy titles such as Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill….Re-releasing games on Blu-ray presents an exciting opportunity for a publisher, however we have no announcements at this time”.

Hopefully more game companies will follow this trend of re-releasing collections of games in HD and re-mastered. Is this what Sony meant by saying customers are no longer interested in backwards compatibility?

Also on a further note, as exciting as the God of War collection announcement is…why is the game ONLY running at 720p!? The PS3 must have more than enough power to render it at 1080p! That’s my only complaint with this title so far.

The Final Destination is the fourth and supposedly the ‘final’ installment of the franchise. If you’re a fan of the franchise you know the drill by now. If not, let me catch you up. The premise of the series usually sets up a major event where there is a HUGE tragedy where EVERYONE dies, but it all ends up being Déjà vu, a vision, to one of the characters and they freak out and tell their friends that they have to leave or they will die. Death inevitably catches up to them one by one in the order that they were killed in the vision while they try to do everything they can to stop their deaths. Obviously they fail…

I’ve always wondered what type of movie Quentin Tarantino would make if he had to do a World War II movie, as amusing as it sounded back then, now I have the answer and I’m not disappointed. It took Quentin Tarantino ten years to write the script.  Looking at the trailer or even the cast list you might look elsewhere, we have Brad Pitt, Eli Roth even Mike Myers which are some odd casting, but usually with Quentin Tarantino movies at first the cast might seem odd but when you watch the movie everything fits together nicely.  I promise you the trailer doesn’t do this movie justice.
